Job summary

Red Butte Garden at University of Utah is seeking an Event Support Specialist to assist with setup, breakdown and maintenance for outdoor concerts and select events in the amphitheatre.

The position is part-time with variable hours, typically 8–12 per shift, May through October, including mornings, evenings and weekends. Start date expected mid‑May, with a supportive team and accessible transit options.

Qualifications

• 1 year of higher education may substitute for 1 year of directly related work experience.
• Event support experience and strong communication skills are preferred.
• Ability to work in outdoor environments and coordinate with vendors.

Responsibilities

• Provide venue setup and event support for outdoor concerts and select events.
• Ensure timely completion of tasks during each season's concerts and events.
• Attend to event-related maintenance or needs that arise.
• Coordinate with vendors, manage barricades, tents, chairs, waste stations, and related setup/breakdown.
• Support custodial staff and maintain high-quality event standards at Red Butte.
