Job summary

Medical City Arlington is seeking a Seasonal PRN RN for the Operating Room. The program runs from September 20, 2026 to April 3, 2027 and pays $70 per hour.

The role includes evaluating patients before surgery, providing perioperative education, and ensuring patient safety. A demanding schedule requires four weekend shifts every 4 weeks, two holiday shifts during the 32-week period, and potential float to nearby facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• RN (Registered Nurse) license required.
• Associate or Bachelor degree in nursing.
• No travel requirement.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education about the procedure and perioperative process.
• Prepare patient including IV therapy and preoperative medications.
• Participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols.
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care and contribute to continuous improvement.
