Job summary

Medical City Healthcare is offering a seasonal Emergency Room RN opportunity at Medical City Plano. The program runs September 20, 2026 to April 3, 2027, at $62/hour.

Seasonal RNs must work a minimum of 72 hours per pay period, with four weekend shifts every 4 weeks and two holiday shifts during the 32-week period. The RN provides patient-centered care in collaboration with physicians, documents care in the medical record, teaches patients and families, and responds promptly to requests.

Qualifications

• RN with active license to practice in Texas.
• Associate Degree required for RN position.
• Minimum 1 year ER RN experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain and promote effective pain management.
• Perform procedures and document care in medical records.
• Respond to patient requests promptly and proactively.
• Teach patients and families about medical conditions, treatments, and follow-up measures.
• Educate on non-medical follow-up measures and self-management.
