Job summary

Medical City Plano is seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse for a Seasonal PRN assignment. The role runs from September 20, 2026 to April 3, 2027, with a minimum of 72 hours per pay period and four weekend shifts every four weeks.

You’ll float within a close geography for emergent needs and participate in a collaborative surgical team. You will evaluate patients preoperatively, educate families, manage IV therapy and meds, support site verification, and deliver safe, evidence-based

Qualifications

• RN is required and licensed to practice in the state.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education surrounding peri-operative process.
• Assume responsibility for patient preparation including IV therapy, preoperative medications, and site verification.
• Participate in surgical site verification per hospital policy.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care with evidence-based practices.
