Job summary

Medical City Frisco is seeking an RN for a Seasonal PRN role in the Operating Room at Frisco, TX. The position offers a competitive rate of $70 per hour plus differentials and requires on-call duties during select non-business hours.

The program runs September 20, 2026 through April 3, 2027. The candidate should possess an RN license, an Associate degree, and ACLS/BLS credentials with 1+ year of relevant experience. Eligible employees have access to Medical City benefits and staffing support.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN licensure as a registered nurse is required.
• Associate degree in nursing or equivalent.
• 1+ year experience in the specialty area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and perioperative care.
• Prepare patients including IV therapy, preoperative meds, and site verification.
• Participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols.
• Respond to patient emergencies and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and staff as part of the surgical team.
• Apply nursing process with critical thinking and clinical judgment.
• Monitor patient condition and document changes accurately.
• Educate patients and families about treatments and follow-up steps.
