Job summary

1-800-FLOWERS.COM, INC is seeking a Seasonal Operations Assistant to support day-to-day operations and administrative needs within the facility. The role collaborates with Managers, HR, Security, Onboarding, and Customer Service to ensure requests are addressed efficiently.

The position requires strong communication, organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, with 2nd shift hours listed. Training on the 1st Shift is included until 11/06.

Qualifications

• Typing speed of at least 50 wpm with accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel; may be verified in selection process.
• Experience routing calls and messages to various business units.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with employees at different levels.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming phone calls and route to the appropriate person or department.
• Monitor express orders and communicate status/delays.
• Assist with routine timekeeping questions and issues, including missed punches and schedule verification.
• Print employee ID labels and barcodes as needed.
• Add or update employee department information as needed.
• Complete general administrative and data-entry tasks.
• Communicate out-of-stock items and issues to Customer Service.
• Prepare and distribute daily evacuation attendance reports.
• Send updated evacuation reports after shipping starts.
• Prepare and maintain the daily Excel backlog report.
• Update department schedules as needed.
• Respond to routine operational requests and direct more complex issues to the appropriate team.
• Provide administrative and operational support to Managers, Supervisors, HR, Security, Onboarding, and other departments.
