Job summary

1-800-FLOWERS.COM, INC is seeking a Seasonal Operations Assistant to serve as a central point of contact for daily operational and administrative needs within the facility. You will work with Managers, Supervisors, HR, Security, Onboarding, Customer Service, and other teams to ensure requests are addressed efficiently.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and computer skills, with the 2nd Shift from 3:00 PM to 12:30 AM and training on the 1st Shift 7:00 AM–3:30 PM until 11/06.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel (may be verified).
• Typing speed of at least 50 WPM with accuracy.
• Experience routing calls and messages to various business units.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming phone calls and route to appropriate person or department.
• Monitor express orders and update departments on status or delays.
• Assist with routine timekeeping questions and issues, including missed punches and schedule verification.
• Print employee ID labels and barcodes as needed.
• Update employee department information as needed.
• Complete general administrative and data-entry tasks.
• Communicate out-of-stock items and order issues to Customer Service.
• Prepare and distribute daily evacuation attendance reports.
• Send updated evacuation reports 30–45 minutes after shipping starts.
• Prepare and maintain the daily Excel backlog report.
• Update department schedules as needed.
• Respond to routine operational requests and escalate complex issues.
• Provide administrative support to Managers, Supervisors, HR, Security, Onboarding, and other departments.
• Complete additional tasks as directed.
