Job summary

Tucson Medical Center (TMC) is Tucson’s only non-profit community owned hospital. The Seasonal Registered Nurse – NICU role supports our high‑risk newborn care team during 13‑week contracts with night shifts.

This position offers part‑time and full‑time options and a competitive rate of pay. The NICU unit is a 41‑bed Level III NICU; you will provide direct patient care, participate in care planning, and collaborate with the neonatal team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• One year of nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Current RN licensure permitting work in the State of Arizona and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• EP Lab: competency or two years EP experience if assigned to EP Lab procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care and evaluates outcomes.
• Writes or obtains initial nursing histories and develops care plans.
• Receives and reviews shift reports; completes rounds and notes patient condition.
• Notifies physician of unusual events or problems.
• Educates assigned personnel and reinforces patient instructional needs with patients and families.
• Adheres to safety policies and TMCH values and ensures high quality patient care.
