Job summary

Michaels in Germantown, MD is hiring a Store Associate to help customers find products, provide friendly service, and ensure a fast checkout experience. You will help with stocking, signage, and store recovery to keep the shop inviting.

Responsibilities include assisting customers, processing transactions to standards, engaging shoppers about rewards and private label cards, and supporting omnichannel processes like BOPIS and Ship From Store.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Must be at least sixteen years old.
• Physical requirements include standing, lifting, and moving throughout the store.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide them with solutions
• Provide a fast checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards
• Engage customers on rewards programs and enrollments
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS)
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POG) processes
• Complete merchandise recovery and store maintenance to stay well-merchandised and in-stock
• Support shrink and safety programs and follow SOPs
• Model positive behavior and reflect Michaels values
• Cross training in Custom Framing selling and production
