Job summary

Solitude Mountain Resort is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join Moonbeam's kitchen team. The role focuses on daily kitchen management, food quality, safety, and high-volume service in a premier mountain resort setting.

The ideal candidate will lead with hands-on collaboration, drive menu execution, and mentor staff while maintaining guest-focused standards in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time seasonal position with flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience as a Line Cook or Prep Cook.
• 1+ year of experience as Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager.
• Formal culinary training or degree.
• Strong communication with FOH/BOH staff.
• Able to perform in a fast-paced, high-volume resort kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, executing, and maintaining high-quality, consistent food offerings.
• Execute menus efficiently during peak service periods.
• Support menu development and seasonal offerings in collaboration with Chef.
• Supervise and lead kitchen staff, including cooks and prep personnel.
• Train new hires on food production, safety, and procedures.
• Lead by example with a positive, professional attitude and enforce standards.
• Ensure compliance with health regulations and resort policies.
• Assist with ordering, receiving, inventory, and proper storage of food and supplies.
• Monitor stations, walk-ins, and storage areas for labeling and rotation.
