Job summary

Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in Beverly Hills seeks a Manager of Media Logistics & Technical Operations for the Oscar season. This role oversees seasonal production logistics, technical servicing, and operational infrastructure supporting Academy media operations for the Oscars, Nominations, and related events.

You will coordinate with Media Operations, Communications leadership, and external vendors to ensure press spaces are ready, connected, and properly staffed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 5+ years in live event production or related field.
• Experience managing technical infrastructure for large media environments.
• Familiar with transmission workflows, connectivity, and vendor coordination.
• Strong project management, communication and troubleshooting skills, including weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead seasonal media production logistics and technical execution for press environments.
• Coordinate with Live TV production and technical stakeholders to align broadcast needs.
• Manage buildouts, power, connectivity, signal routing, and vendor schedules.
• Oversee pool camera operations, transmission workflows, and access processes.
• Organize the Domestic Press Broadcaster Walkthrough and provide operational guidance.
• Oversee technical capture and distribution for live press room transcription workflows.
• Coordinate accessibility workflows for ASL second-screen activities.
• Support evolving media models including streaming and hybrid participation.
• Troubleshoot live events and escalate issues with vendors as needed.
• Create technical materials, documentation, and post-event reports.
