Walden Local Meat Co. in Boston is seeking a Meat Cutter for a seasonal, part-time role with Friday–Sunday shifts. You will help manage the butcher shop, connect customers with local farms, and promote the Walden home delivery meat share program while learning in a hands-on environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ year of customer-centric work experience for a premium brand.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift and move 50-80+ pounds.
• Passion for high quality food and sustainable sourcing.
• Willingness to learn butchery and meat cutting skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely handle and sell Walden Local products.
• Prepare the store for opening and closing daily.
• Maintain the store's cleanliness and safety.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Promote the Walden home delivery meat share program to customers.
• Educate customers on the meat industry, Walden mission, and meat cuts.
• Opportunity to learn whole animal butchery and custom cuts.
