Walden Local Meat Co. in Boston is seeking a Part Time Butcher Shop Meat Cutter to join our award-winning team on Shawmut Ave. This role emphasizes customer service, product knowledge, and keeping the butcher shop clean, safe, and inviting while connecting families with local farmers.

You’ll learn about butchery, handle Walden products, and promote the meat share program, with a Friday–Sunday schedule and evenings. A passion for quality food and service is essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of customer-centric work experience.
• Love for high quality food.
• Commitment to Walden Local's mission and sustainable food.
• Excellent verbal communication.
• Ability to lift and move 150+ pounds.

Responsabilités

• Safely handle and sell Walden Local products.
• Prepare the store for opening and closing daily.
• Maintain the store's cleanliness and safety.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Promote the Walden home delivery meat share program to customers.
• Educate customers on the meat industry, the Walden mission, and specific meat cuts.
• Learn butchery skills including whole animal butchery and custom cuts.
