Job summary

You will monitor gauges, record operation data, and perform routine maintenance to ensure propulsion and utilities remain reliable.

Qualified candidates have basic safety training, a Merchant Mariner Credential, TWIC, and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

  • Six months of direct related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain marine engines and mechanical equipment.
  • Read meters and gauges to verify operating conditions.
  • Record data such as fuel use, temperature, pressure, and oil levels.
  • Adjust controls and respond to equipment faults.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and lubrication.
  • Maintain logs of operation and maintenance actions.
