Job summary

Martinsville Speedway in southern Virginia is seeking a seasonal maintenance technician to help maintain the building and grounds. You will perform routine preventive maintenance and repair procedures, and assist in general cleaning and event setup.

Candidates must be at least 18 years old, hold a High School Diploma or GED, and have a valid driver's license. A driving record check may be required. Strong mechanical aptitude and reliability are important for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 years old.
• High School Graduate/GED.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Passing a driving record check is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive building maintenance duties.
• Perform routine plumbing repairs such as unstopping toilets, sinks or urinals, fixing water leaks, and leaking faucets.
• Perform routine electrical repairs such as changing light bulbs or fluorescent lamps and assists in repairing ballast and light fixtures.
• Assemble and move furniture, hang pictures, set up and tear down chairs, tables and equipment in meeting rooms, and function rooms.
• Participate in general cleaning, painting, and repair work.
• Other duties as assigned.
