Job summary

YMCA of the Rockies, Snow Mountain Ranch, is seeking a Seasonal Maintenance Lead to support maintenance across grounds, public areas, and private accommodations. This role guides seasonal staff and ensures facility upkeep and safety throughout the season.

The position involves physical work in varying weather, ladder use, snow removal, and repairs to common systems. It requires English fluency, a valid driver's license, and a safety-focused approach to tasks and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid USA state-issued driver's license and comply with YMCA driving policies.
• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and basic decision-making for other seasonal staff.
• Perform physical tasks including standing, kneeling, and working on feet for an eight-hour shift both indoors and outdoors.
• Safely climb ladders and scaffolding and work on roofs.
• Shovel snow from walks, porches, stairs, and roofs October–April.
• Assist year-round staff by following instructions on maintenance projects.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
• Repair minor facility issues such as changing light bulbs, installing screens, unclogging toilets, and other basic tasks.
• Safely operate hand and power tools common to construction and maintenance.
• Collect and dispose of trash; handle bags up to 50 lbs.
• Lift trash bags into/out of vehicles and trash compactors.
• Occasionally work night maintenance shifts and flexible hours.
• Assist with basic carpentry, painting, plumbing, landscaping, and cleaning tasks.
• Perform basic electrical tasks, including wiring and lighting installation.
• Other duties as assigned.
