Mandel is searching for a seasonal full-time or part-time apartment Porter/Groundskeeper/Entry Level Maintenance Tech to join our team at North End in Downtown Milwaukee, WI.

Applicants for the Porter position should have an interest in skilled trades, as they will work on curb appeal, grounds duties, building exterior maintenance, and interior upkeep at the apartment community. This position involves keeping all common areas clean and sanitized. Highly motivated individuals who work well in a team and with limited supervision are preferred. The Porter provides professional and courteous entry-level maintenance and custodian services to Mandel residents through timely work order completion and maintaining great curb appeal for residents and prospects. The Porter is a vital part of the community team, contributing to property initiatives to enhance operations.

General Job duties may include, but are not limited to:

• General maintenance and upkeep of the apartment community (trash and pet waste pickup, cleaning common areas, etc.), common area upkeep, and building exterior maintenance (painting, sweeping, removing items, etc.).
• Assist in efforts to enhance curb appeal and resident retention.
• Perform preventive maintenance as required.
• Address light maintenance work order requests.
• Identify potential safety issues or liabilities at the site.
• Strive to meet or exceed resident satisfaction.

Recommended skills and requirements:

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Entry-level knowledge of skilled trades or an interest in learning plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance repairs, etc.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Availability to work first shift and weekends, as needed.
