Join a company dedicated to developing Maintenance Technicians with no prior experience! This is a fantastic opportunity to participate in a 90-day paid apprenticeship where you are provided training and comprehensive knowledge of the work that goes into multi-family property maintenance. After completing the 90-day paid apprenticeship, you will be eligible for a permanent position as a Maintenance Technician, with a $1000 bonus for successful completion and employment with FRED.

We've been in the industry since 1985 and are growing daily. We have over 35 communities throughout Wisconsin and Illinois with many more in development, providing endless opportunities.

We offer growth opportunities within the company, starting as Tech I with potential promotion to Tech II, Maintenance Supervisor, Regional Maintenance Manager, and Director of Property Maintenance. We prioritize internal training and promotion.

Start Date For Program: The apprentice program begins on Tuesday, June 3, 2025.

What You'll Learn And Assist With

• Utilizing troubleshooting skills to respond to and repair various residential service requests.
• Preparing apartment homes for rent by performing repairs in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, drywall, exteriors, and appliances.
• Performing preventative maintenance to prevent costly breakdowns.
• Communicating effectively between the maintenance team and property manager.
• Documenting time sheets, maintenance logs, and checklists accurately.
• Assisting groundskeepers with landscaping and cleanliness of common areas.
• Using maintenance materials and equipment properly.
• Assisting with snow removal during winter months.
• Maintaining a professional and courteous attitude with residents, coworkers, and the public.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
