Job summary

Hood River Sand, Gravel & Ready-Mix, a CRH company, is seeking a Seasonal Equipment and Machine Operator in Dallesport, WA. You will operate front-end loaders, excavators, and a water truck as needed, with a 10+ hour shift, five days a week. Nights, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Wage ranges from $25 to $25.75 per hour. Must have 1–2 years of loader experience, a valid drivers license, and ability to pass pre-employment screenings. Travel to various sites may be necessary.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years front-end wheel loader experience or training.
• Ability to add, subtract, and multiply.
• Must obtain a valid drivers license.
• Safety minded with good attendance and punctuality.
• Pre-employment physical and drug screening as required.
• Able to work overtime, nights, and weekends.
• Must comply with OSHA, MSHA, DOT rules.
• US work authorization required.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently within designed parameters.
• Maintain safe slopes and barricading around excavations.
• Perform minor servicing and refer major problems to supervisor.
• Keep machines clean and maintained.
• Keep time and material records.
• Travel to various locations as needed.
• Assist labor crew including shoveling and daily plant operations.
• Communicate with paving crew about material issues.
• Capture hazards and take corrective action.
• Other duties as assigned; ensure regular attendance.
• Promote an inclusive work environment.
