Hood River Sand, Gravel & Ready-Mix, a CRH Company, is seeking a Loader Operator in Dallesport, WA. The role involves operating front-end loaders and related equipment during a busy season, with 10+ hour shifts and flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualified candidates typically have 1–2 years of loader/excavator experience, a valid driver's license, and a safety‑minded approach. Pre‑employment exams and drug screening are required, with compliance to OSHA, MSHA, and DOT standards.

Qualifications

• One to two years front-end wheel loader experience or training.
• Ability to add, subtract and multiply.
• Must obtain a valid driver's license.
• Safety minded with good attendance and punctuality.
• Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screening; safety sensitive per RCW 49.44.240.
• Willing to work overtime, nights and weekends.
• Must comply with OSHA, MSHA, DOT and company/state rules.

Responsibilities

• Operate loaders and equipment safely within design parameters.
• Maintain safe slopes and barricading on excavations.
• Perform minor servicing and refer major problems to the supervisor.
• Keep machines clean and maintained.
• Keep time and material records.
• Travel to and from various locations.
• Assist labor crew with shoveling materials and daily plant operations.
• Communicate with paving crew about material flaws.
• Take action to avoid hazards or obstructions.
• Other duties to meet business needs.
• Participate in and promote an inclusive work environment.
