Penobscot Island Air flies people, freight, mail, and medical transport between Knox County and the islands of Penobscot Bay. Our line pilots fly single-engine Cessna 206s and 207s into short, rugged island strips, several times a day, in real Maine weather. This is high-frequency, hands-on VFR flying with many takeoffs and landings, tight turnarounds, and direct contact with the island communities we serve. If you want to build meaningful PIC time doing flying that actually matters to the people on the other end, this is it.
Good judgment, a genuinely conservative approach to weather and loading, physical ability to handle freight, and the temperament to do the same island run twenty times and treat the twentieth passenger as well as the first.
Competitive pay based on experience and steady seasonal flying.
