Alterra Mountain Company is hiring a Line Cook for Lakeview Cafe in Sandpoint, ID, for the winter season. You will prep and cook a variety of breakfast, lunch, and dinner items on a busy cafe line, focusing on quality, freshness, and presentable plates.

The role requires standing for long periods, following recipes, and maintaining strict hygiene standards in a fast-paced environment. Seasonal, with full or part-time options and employee benefits as described.

Qualifications

• Idaho Food Safety Certification (training provided).
• Cooking skills and basic kitchen skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per shift.
• Awareness of health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Execute all food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, portioning meats, and preparing sauces, per recipes and quality standards.
• Cook and assemble breakfast, lunch, and dinner items on the line using various methods (grilling, frying, sautéing).
• Ensure dishes meet cafe standards for quality and presentation.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining cleanliness and stock.
• Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation regulations; keep workstation organized; monitor inventory and communicate needs.
