Vail Resorts in Truckee, CA is seeking an Assistant Manager for the Lift Experience Team. You will oversee the safe operation of resort lifts, supervise team members, and deliver courteous, efficient guest service while leading by example.

The role requires 1-2 years lift or mountain operations experience, a high school diploma, ability to work outdoors in all weather, and flexible scheduling including nights, holidays, and weekends. Housing is available for winter seasonal 2026/2027.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate fluently in English.
• 1-2 years of lift or mountain operations experience required.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of resort lifts, schedule staff and manage opening/closing procedures.
• Assist with on-mountain training of leads and operators.
• Monitor lift operator performance and provide feedback and coaching.
• Ensure safety by complying with laws, policies, and procedures.
• Coordinate with ski patrol, lift maintenance, and mountain safety teams.
