Job summary

Vail Resorts in Colorado is hiring for a Lift Experience Team Lead to oversee daily lift operations and train operators. You will schedule staff, enforce safety procedures, and ensure guest service excellence on the mountain.

This full-time winter seasonal role requires 1–2 years of lift or mountain operations experience, a HS diploma, and the ability to work outdoors in varied weather; pay ranges $22.00–$29.22 per hour with full benefits.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of previous lift or mountain operations experience.
• Must be able to communicate fluently in English.
• Must be physically capable of assisting guests while loading lifts; may lift up to 40lbs.
• Able to work outdoors in all types of inclement weather, standing and moving for entire shift.
• Flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of resort lifts such as scheduling staff and procedures for opening and closing lifts.
• Assist with hiring, support, and training of operators and scanners in daily operations and safety.
• Monitor and document lift operator performance and behavior to provide feedback and direction.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws, policies, and procedures to ensure guest safety.
• Work with ski patrol and lift maintenance to resolve problems on the mountain.
• Promote clean and organized workstations.
• Address guest questions, comments and complaints with timely resolutions.
• Support ticket scanning training as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
