Job summary

Vail Resorts is seeking a Lift Experience Team Lead to oversee daily lift operations and guide operators in safety and service. This full-time seasonal role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and a focus on guest satisfaction.

You will supervise staff, assist with hiring, train operators and scanners, and ensure smooth opening/closing procedures on the mountain. Join a team delivering memorable mountain experiences.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of lift or mountain operations experience preferred.
• Must be able to communicate fluently in English.
• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of resort lifts such as scheduling staff and procedures for opening and closing lifts.
• Assist with hiring, support, and training of operators and scanners in daily operations and safety.
• Monitor and document lift operator performance and provide feedback and direction.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws, policies, and safety procedures for guest protection.
• Collaborate with ski patrol, mountain safety, lift maintenance, and other teams to resolve issues.
• Promote clean and organized workstations.
• Handle guest questions and complaints with timely resolutions.
• Act as a Lift Operator lead and support ticket scanning when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
