Job summary

Waypoint Analytical, a trusted agricultural lab with over 55 years in operation, seeks a Seasonal Lab Technician for night shifts at the Atlantic lab facility. The role focuses on preparing soil samples, operating instrumentation, and ensuring accurate reporting of results.

You will support group leaders in inventory and maintain a clean, safe lab environment while adhering to SOPs and safety standards. This position emphasizes reliability, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality data.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience in an environmental laboratory preferred.
• Willingness to work night shift (6 pm–8 am).

Responsibilities

• Prepare soil samples for a wide variety of testing procedures, following outlined methodologies and SOPs.
• Operate and maintain scientific equipment/instrumentation.
• Document activities and report results accurately and concisely.
• Assist group leaders and analysts in ordering and inventorying consumables, chemicals, and parts for instrumentation.
• Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of laboratory equipment and work areas.
• Model safety as a core value and contribute to a safe work environment.
• Other duties as required.

What You'll Do:

What You'll Bring:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of previous experience working in an environmental laboratory is preferred.
