Job summary

Waypoint Analytical, LLC in Memphis, TN, is seeking a Seasonal Lab Technician for day shift (approximately 8 am–6 pm) to prepare soil samples, operate equipment, and document results. This position supports environmental testing programs and requires diligence, safety, and accuracy.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and 1–3 years of experience in an environmental laboratory; willingness for variable hours; background checks and possible substance testing may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of previous experience working in an environmental laboratory is preferred.
• Willingness and ability to work day shift (approx. 8 am-6 pm; variable hours worked per week depending on business need).

Responsibilities

• Prepare soil samples for a wide variety of testing procedures, following outlined methodologies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Operate and maintain scientific equipment/instrumentation.
• Document activities and report results accurately and concisely.
• Assist group leaders and analysts in ordering and inventorying consumables, chemicals, and parts for instrumentation.
• Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of laboratory equipment and work areas.
• Model our core value of safety by enabling a culture in which you are actively contributing to a safe work environment.
• Other duties as required.
