Job summary

Waypoint Analytical, LLC is seeking a Seasonal Lab Technician for the Atlantic, IA laboratory to support soil testing and analysis during peak periods. The role involves preparing samples, operating instruments, documenting results, and helping maintain lab inventory and clean work areas.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of environmental lab experience and is comfortable with a day shift (approximately 8am–6pm) and variable weekly hours based on business needs.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare soil samples for a wide variety of testing procedures, following outlined methodologies and SOPs.
• Operate and maintain scientific equipment/instrumentation.
• Document activities and report results accurately and concisely.
• Assist group leaders and analysts in ordering and inventorying consumables, chemicals, and parts for instrumentation.
• Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of laboratory equipment and work areas.
• Model our core value of safety by enabling a culture in which you are actively contributing to a safe work environment.
• Other duties as required.
