Job summary

Pottawattamie County Conservation is seeking part-time seasonal Kitchen Staff Team Members for the November through March ski season. You will support the Kitchen Manager, assist with food prep, stocking, and guest service, and help maintain a clean, safe kitchen and dining area.

Responsibilities include inventory, order lists, sanitation, POS use, and closing procedures. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability preferred.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of, and ability to prep and prepare food for guests.
• Ability to use a computer.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to understand and follow both oral and written instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and guests.

Responsibilities

• Assist in inventory and stock item organization and ordering.
• Assist Kitchen Manager in creating order lists for supplies.
• Follow sanitation and safety standards and proper labeling of food.
• Perform food prep and cooking duties; check presentation, temp and portions.
• Use POS system to take orders and balance cash at end of shift.
• Prepare kitchen for opening and closing, stock items, and clean areas.
• Assist with deliveries check-in and restocking.
• Clean dining area and restrooms; assist other departments as needed.

Education

Must be fourteen (14) years old at the time of hire.
