Job summary

Killington Pico Ski Resort Partners LLC seeks a Cook 2 to join our lodge kitchen on a seasonal basis. You will prepare and cook soups, meats, vegetables, and desserts, and help with plating and portioning for meals.

Basic qualifications include a high school education and at least six months of culinary experience in a resort or fine-dining setting; the role may involve supervising 3–6 line cooks and assisting with inventory and prep.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of culinary experience in a high-end restaurant, resort, or private club environment.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and assist with setting up and stocking work areas with food, supplies and equipment.
• Prepare hot foods such as sauces, soups and vegetables; butcher meats, poultry and fish.
• Plate dinners and assist with breakfast and luncheon entrees; manage fruits and vegetables preparation.
• Ensure food safety and proper temperatures; monitor cost and time efficiency; train 3–6 cooks.
