Job summary

The Salvation Army's New River Valley Corps is seeking a Seasonal Kettle Coordinator to manage the kettle program. This non-exempt, seasonal role recruits, trains, schedules, and monitors bell ringers while maintaining kettle and volunteer records and supporting fundraising operations.

Responsibilities include counting and depositing kettle funds, driving Salvation Army vehicles, coordinating community events, and ensuring staff and volunteers are adequately staffed and compliant with policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of experience with kettle fundraising preferred or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and coordinate bell ringers by interviewing, screening, and selecting employees and volunteers; ensure kettle locations are adequately staffed.
• Schedule and oversee staff and volunteers, assign duties, monitor work, and provide instructions on procedures and policies.
• Maintain records and reports, including daily kettle income, volunteer participation, hours worked, and other kettle program data.
• Assist with counting, recording, and depositing kettle funds; drive Salvation Army vehicles to deliver and collect kettles and supplies.
• Coordinate community and special-event activities, including volunteer recognition and communication with community leaders.
