Job summary

UPS is seeking a reliable Temporary Journeyman Technician to join the fleet maintenance team in Romoland, California. The role involves maintaining a diverse range of vehicles, including delivery trucks, heavy-duty tractors and trailers, with diesel, gasoline, and alternative powertrains.

Work will involve troubleshooting hydraulic brakes, air brakes, electrical and engine control, and may require shifts from 2nd or 3rd with varying schedules. Location: Romoland, CA.

Qualifications

• Current documented automotive mechanical experience.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment and scan tools.
• Proficiency with personal computers.
• Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) - Preferred

Responsibilities

• Bend, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb ladders and stairs, and stand for extended periods.
• Operate standard and manual transmission vehicles.
• Operate power and pneumatic tools.
• Troubleshoot and maintain hydraulic brakes, air brakes, electrical and engine control systems.
• Maintain documentation and use diagnostic equipment.
• Report to work reliably and be available for varying shifts, including overtime.
