Job summary

Eataly is seeking a Line Cook to craft authentic Italian dishes in a high-volume kitchen in Los Angeles. You will translate high-quality ingredients into plated menu items, following recipes and portion guidelines while maintaining speed and accuracy.

We value knife skills and dexterity, prior kitchen experience, and a culinary arts degree. This onsite role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; physical stamina for standing and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a food preparation position.
• Good knife skills and finger dexterity.
• Degree from a culinary arts training program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Portions, cuts, slices, dips, batters, breads, whips, beats; maintain holding temperature; fry and sauté.
• Selects cuts of meat, poultry, shellfish, fish, game or vegetables to be used for frying or sautéing.
• Plates menu items along with appropriate garnish.
• Follows recipes and complies with portion sizes, quality standards, department rules and procedures, and Department of Health regulations.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned.
