Job summary

1-800-FLOWERS.COM, INC is seeking a Seasonal Desktop Support Analyst in Ohio to serve as the single point of contact for end-users requiring desktop support and maintenance. You will install, diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade PC hardware to ensure optimal workstation performance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or 3+ years of equivalent work experience.
• Microsoft certifications.
• Excellent technical knowledge of PC and desktop hardware.
• Excellent technical knowledge of PC internal components.
• Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience.
• Extensive equipment support experience with iPads, iPhones, and Android devices.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of desktop problems for end-users and implement corrective solutions.
• Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end-user workstations and related hardware/software.
• Assess need for performance upgrades and install components as needed.
• Collaborate with LAN technicians and network admins to ensure efficient desktop operation.
• Administer and resolve issues with end-user workstation networking software.
• Respond to incoming calls, pages, and emails regarding desktop problems.
• Process moves, adds, and changes (MAC) requests.
• Ensure desktop connections are in proper working order.
• Monitor and maintain backup systems for network servers.
• Maintain procedures for logging, reporting, and monitoring desktop operations.
• Develop and maintain inventory of monitors, keyboards, drives, and components.
• Document desktop equipment failures, repairs, and installations.
• Liaise with third-party support as needed.
• Research desktop products for procurement and development, evaluating and recommending purchases.
• Develop long-term strategies for desktop hardware needs.
• Write specifications for PCs and related products.
• Install and configure printers and printers on network, and maintain standalone/network printers.
