Job summary

San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital in California seeks an ICU/Staff Nurse to coordinate and deliver nursing care, while teaching patients and families. The role requires leadership within a multidisciplinary team and adherence to professional nursing standards in a busy clinical unit.

The incumbent will care for adults and geriatrics in the ICU, assess patient status, and operate critical care equipment with familiarity of McKesson EMR. Onsite, full-time schedule with 36 hours/week.

Qualifications

Current active California RN license.
Minimum 1 year acute care hospital experience.
Prefer 1 year DOU or ICU experience.
Graduate from a school of nursing with diploma, associate degree, or BSN.
BLS, ACLS, Cardiac Arrhythmia class & NIHSS Stroke Scale certifications required upon hire.
Critical Care course must be attained within 6 months.
Electronic Medical Records experience; working knowledge of McKesson preferred.
Computer-literate (Word and Excel).

Responsibilities

Coordinate and provide nursing care for patients; participate in patient/family teaching.
Provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary, nursing and other patient team personnel.
Maintain standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.
Care for adult and geriatric ICU patients with medical or surgical conditions requiring specialized care and close observation.
