Job summary

San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital in California seeks an RN for the Med-Surg Telemetry unit. The nurse coordinates and provides direct care to adult and geriatric patients, and participates in teaching while collaborating with physicians and a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires active California RN licensure, BLS and NIHSS certification upon hire, computer-literate with EHR experience, and at least 1 year of acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Current active California RN license and graduation from a school of nursing with diploma, associate degree, or advanced nursing degree.
• Current American Heart Association BLS provider card & NIHSSStroke Scale Certification required upon hire.
• Must be computer-literate (working knowledge of Word), familiarity with an electronic healthcare record system.
• Minimum of 1 year recent (within the last 18 months) acute care hospital experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide direct nursing care for adult and geriatric patients on the Med-Surg Telemetry Unit.
• Participate in patient and family teaching and provide leadership by working cooperatively with physicians and other care team members.
• Maintain standards for professional nursing practice and ensure patient safety and quality care.
• Recognize signs of abuse or neglect and respond appropriately; monitor environmental and medical safety concerns.
