Job summary

The City of Raleigh is seeking a dedicated individual to support community gardens and health and wellness programs. You will help with garden maintenance, volunteer coordination, and program delivery, engaging participants and partners to promote healthy community activities.

Responsibilities include assisting with classes and events, maintaining records, and supporting program staff in day-to-day operations.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in gardening, horticulture, parks and recreation, or related field.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on garden maintenance at Raleigh community garden sites.
• Coordinate volunteers and assist with garden events and programming.
• Assist with data collection, attendance tracking, and program evaluation.
• Support program staff with registration, materials, and participant engagement.
