Job summary

Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta seeks a Temporary Environmental Educator (PT) to lead educational programming and support Camp H2O. You will collaborate on curriculum and exhibits to create engaging, hands-on learning experiences for guests, including school groups and camps.

This role may require evening or weekend events and interactions with internal teams to ensure exceptional guest service. A background in science or education and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in science or education field.
• Two or more years of experience in an educational institution.
• Experience and passion for working with children and animals a plus.
• Knowledge of wildlife conservation, scientific research and environmental issues preferred.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Lead educational programming tailored to schools, camps, and special groups.
• Assist development of hands-on, interdisciplinary curricula (STEAM).
• Assist with development of quality educational exhibits.
• Conduct pre-visit calls to coordinate school visits and logistics.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure exceptional guest experiences.
• Provide daily support of programs and escort chaperones during visits and events.
