Hawthorne Residential Partners in Valdosta, GA is hiring a Groundskeeper to maintain exterior areas of Northwind Apartments. This entry-level role suits hands-on individuals who enjoy outdoor work and keeping a welcoming community appearance.

You’ll perform cleaning, landscaping support, and general maintenance as part of a supportive maintenance team. Working hours are standard business days with potential on-call rotation; benefits include insurance options, 401k, and paid time off.

Qualifications

Education: High School or GED equivalent.
Experience: Understanding and knowledge of yardwork and general facility maintenance; one year preferred but not required.
Licenses & Certifications: Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough cleaning and pick-up of debris or trash throughout exterior areas of the property.
Maintain cleanliness of sidewalks, breezeways, parking lots, green spaces, and community signage areas.
Ensure community trash receptacles, compactor areas, and pet stations are well-maintained and free of debris or large items around the perimeter.
Assist with light landscaping tasks including raking, weeding, trimming, and watering as directed by the maintenance team.
Maintain cleanliness and presentation of pool deck areas, courtyards, grilling stations, benches, and outdoor amenities.

Assistthe maintenance team with light painting of curbs, signposts, and exterior touch-ups as needed.
Conduct light checks around the property and replace breezeway or exterior bulbs as needed.
Helpmaintainshop and storage areas in a clean and organized manner to support quick inventory assessment.
Assistwith preparation of vacant, unoccupied apartments with light cleaning or removal of debris as requested

Additional Responsibilities

Assistthe team with the distribution of communications to residents’ doors.
Assistthe maintenance team with seasonal tasks including storm/snowpreparation or cleanup.
Promotegood professionalrelations with residents, co-workers, and company staff. Through the LIVE IT culture,alwaysdisplay a friendly and courteous attitude toward prospects, residents, vendors, and other employees. Alwaysmaintainprofessionalism.

Work Schedule & Availability

Groundskeeperswork Monday through Friday, with standard office hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This role may also require participation in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies and occasional support for resident events, as needed.
