Job summary

Hawthorne Residential Partners is seeking a dependable Groundskeeper to maintain the exterior of our apartment communities in Jamestown, NC. The role is ideal for individuals who enjoy outdoor work and taking pride in a clean, welcoming environment.

Education requires a High School diploma or GED. Prior yardwork or general maintenance experience is preferred but not required. A valid driver’s license is required to access properties and equipment.

Qualifications

High School or GED equivalent.
Understanding and knowledge of yardwork and general facility maintenance.
One year of maintenance, repair, or HVAC experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough cleaning and pick up debris throughout exterior areas of the property.
Maintain cleanliness of sidewalks, breezeways, parking lots, green spaces, and community signage areas.
Ensure community trash receptacles and pet stations are clean and free of debris.
Assist with light landscaping tasks including raking, weeding, trimming, and watering as directed by the maintenance team.
Maintain cleanliness and presentation of pool deck areas, courtyards, grilling stations, benches, and outdoor amenities.

Groundskeeper | Job Functions

Community Appearance Support

Assistthe maintenance team with light painting of curbs, signposts, and exterior touch-ups as needed.
Conduct light checks around the property and replace breezeway or exterior bulbs as needed.
Helpmaintainshop and storage areas in a clean and organized manner to support quick inventory assessment.
Assistwith preparation of vacant, unoccupied apartments with light cleaning or removal of debris as requested

Additional Responsibilities

Assistthe team with the distribution of communications to residents' doors.
Assistthe maintenance team with seasonal tasks including storm/snowpreparation or cleanup.
Promotegood professionalrelations with residents, co-workers, and company staff. Through the LIVE IT culture,alwaysdisplay a friendly and courteous attitude toward prospects, residents, vendors, and other employees. Alwaysmaintainprofessionalism.

Work Schedule & Availability

Groundskeeperswork Monday through Friday, with standard office hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This role may also require participation in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies and occasional support for resident events, as needed.
