Job summary

City of Cleveland seeks a Seasonal Municipal Service Laborer to support parks, streets, cemeteries, and public works through general labor, maintenance, and waste collection duties. This role is based on-site in Cleveland and involves outdoor work in varying weather conditions.

This position requires physical stamina, the ability to operate hand tools and equipment, and a valid Ohio driver’s license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid State of Ohio driver's license is preferred.
• Ability to perform manual labor in outdoor conditions.
• Experience in municipal or maintenance work is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads materials, supplies, and other materials and equipment.
• Cleans sidewalks, driveways, bridge decks, and garage areas.
• Performs routine building maintenance including cleaning of floors, windows, and walls and rest room facilities.
• Collects and distributes mail and delivers divisional literature.
• Regulates routine facility thermostatic controls.
• Tends to Water Treatment Plant debris screens.
