Job summary

Hilltop Ski Area in Anchorage, AK is seeking Grounds Maintenance Summer/Winter staff to keep the grounds, facilities, and parking areas safe and welcoming for guests and staff. This full-time, active role involves mowing, snow removal, equipment operation, and guest service, with a focus on safety and teamwork.

Candidates must be 18+, able to pass a background check, and capable of lifting and working up to 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• Able to work up to 40 hours per week including holidays, weekends, and evenings, as necessary.
• Any combination of education and experience that can demonstrate the knowledge and ability to perform the work.
• Previous experience operating small equipment; skid steer, excavator, plow truck preferred.

Responsibilities

• Grounds maintenance duties including mowing and landscaping.
• Assist with keeping outdoor areas free of debris.
• Perform ice melt application and snow removal around walkways and lodge areas.
• Support basic carpentry and facility repair projects.
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks and keep facilities and equipment clean.
• Direct guests and staff to park safely and maintain clear emergency access.
• Operate small equipment (skid steer, excavator, plow truck) safely.
• Provide friendly, patient guest service and communicate via radio.
