Job summary

City of Bremerton is seeking personnel for a 40-hour/week, 26-week assignment to perform a variety of grounds and facility maintenance tasks. Responsibilities include mowing, cleaning, minor repairs, and support for reservoirs and pump stations. The role requires physical fitness and the ability to follow safety protocols.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED and prior general labor or maintenance experience. A valid driver’s license is preferred.

Qualifications

Capable of performing physically demanding manual labor outdoors.
Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to learn tool/equipment use.

Responsibilities

Perform general grounds maintenance: mowing, trimming, weed removal, debris collection.
Assist facility maintenance: cleaning, painting, pressure washing, minor surface prep.
Support maintenance of utility sites: reservoirs, pump stations, well facilities.
Load, unload, transport materials and equipment.
Identify and report maintenance issues to supervisors.
Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
Follow safety procedures and PPE requirements.
