Job summary

Useless Bay Golf and Country Club is looking for a Seasonal Landscaper/Groundskeeper to join the Golf Course Maintenance team on Whidbey Island. You will gain hands-on experience in turfgrass, irrigation, and landscape management while contributing to a pristine course environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the landscaping grounds and general upkeep.

• Properly care for tools and equipment used for tasks.
• Complete delegated work orders in a timely and professional manner.
• Report unsafe conditions immediately.
• Perform other assigned tasks.

Landscaper/Groundskeeper (Golf) | Useless Bay Golf and Country Club

Useless Bay Golf & Country Club is looking for individuals interested in joining our Golf Course Maintenance team and learning about the field of turfgrass and golf course management. This is more than a landscaping position. You'll gain hands-on experience maintaining a beautiful golf course while developing practical skills that can lead to careers in turfgrass management, agronomy, horticulture, irrigation, environmental stewardship, landscape management and golf course operations.

Seasonal Position:

Expected to end on or around December 31, 2026. Position may be extended based on projects, weather and course needs.

What Success Looks Like:

Your Impact

• Maintain the landscaping grounds and other general upkeep.
• Ensure the security, cleanliness, preventative maintenance and repair of all department tools, equipment and safety features are in accordance of established procedures.
• Ensure all work spaces are kept in a clean and orderly manner and storing all tools, equipment and spare parts in proper location.
• Responsible for the proper treatment and care of tools and equipment used to perform tasks.
• Responsible to complete delegated work orders in a timely and professional manner.
• Reports and addresses unsafe conditions immediately.
• Other tasks as assigned.

What You Bring

• This position will require work on the weekends in addition to some weekdays
• Must have a general understanding of landscaping.
• Must have knowledge and the ability to operate tools, hand tools and power tools in a safe and efficient manner.
• Must be flexible and able to perform multiple tasks and work in stressful situations
