CGB Enterprises, Inc. is hiring a Seasonal general laborer to support loading and unloading barges and trucks.

The role requires strict adherence to safety programs, OSHA guidelines, and environmental regulations, with duties including reading drafts, loading, and supervising deckhands when needed. The position emphasizes moving grain, maintaining quality, completing accurate paperwork, and performing routine maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• No experience required; 1 year in industrial env is a plus.
• Basic math skills.
• Effective communication, both oral and written.
• Ability to complete documentation.
• Ability to follow directions and troubleshoot.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to use appropriate tools for tasks.

Responsibilities

• Fully participate in the Safety Program and attend daily pre-shift meetings.
• Read drafts, open/close lids, tie off barges.
• Load barges to meet draft and quality requirements.
• Oversee deckhand(s) as required.
• Transfer, load, and move grain to appropriate location.
• Maintain grain quality while stored or transferred.
• Complete documentation timely, accurately and legibly.
• Operate heavy equipment as needed and perform housekeeping.
• Unload barges, move product to storage, load trucks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
