Job summary

CGB Enterprises, Inc. is hiring a General Laborer to support barge operations on river facilities. The role involves loading barges, moving grain, and ensuring quality while following safety protocols and PPE requirements. You will document activities and work closely with deckhands and shift teams.

Expect long shifts, possible weekend/holiday hours, and travel to different facilities as needed. Prior experience is helpful but not required; a high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience required – None.
• Preferred – 1 year experience in an industrial environment with a dependable work record.

Responsibilities

• Perform barge loading duties to meet draft and quality requirements and oversee deckhand(s).
• Transfer, load and move grain to the appropriate location.
• Maintain grain quality during storage and transfer.
• Complete documentation timely, accurately and legibly.
• Follow the Safety Program and attend daily pre-shift meetings.
