Job summary

FS GRAIN is seeking a dedicated elevator operator to manage grain handling, safety, and the grain drying system at our Northern Illinois facilities. You will maintain grain quality, perform housekeeping tasks, and ensure compliance with safety regulations while providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or related agricultural experience.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Willingness to learn grain handling.
• Understanding of mechanical diagnosis, service and maintenance of equipment.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel overnight.
• Ability to work extended hours and on-call.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming, stored, and outgoing grain and maintain quality.
• Housekeeping related to grain handling.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and safety regulations; maintain equipment.
• Provide professional customer service for a positive experience.
