Job summary

FS GRAIN in Northern Illinois seeks an Elevator Operator under the location manager to manage grain handling, safety and maintenance, and operate the grain drying system.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or related agricultural experience, the ability to work independently and in a team, basic computer skills, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to travel and work extended hours. Lifting 51–70 lbs is required.

• Experience with mechanical diagnosis, service, repairs and maintenance on equipment/vehicles.
• Basic computer skills to enhance grain handling.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to travel overnight.
• Willingness to work extended hours and on-call.
• Physical ability to lift 51–70 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming, stored, and outgoing grain; maintain quality.
• Operate grain drying system and ensure safety and efficiency.
• Maintain housekeeping and equipment/Facility standards.
• Comply with OSHA and safety regulations; ensure professional appearance of equipment.
