Job summary

FS GRAIN in Northern Illinois is seeking an elevator operator to manage grain handling, safety, maintenance, and operate the grain drying system. This hands-on role requires reliability and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

You will ensure grain quality, keep facilities clean, comply with OSHA regulations, and deliver professional customer service while supporting the location manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Willingness to learn grain handling.
• Experience with maintenance of equipment and vehicles.
• Basic computer skills.
• Valid driver's license; able to travel and overnight.
• Able to work extended hours and on-call.
• Occasionally exposed to extreme weather, noise, dust, chemicals, and electrical hazards.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming, stored, and outgoing grain.
• Maintain grain quality, blending, and grain drying services.
• Housekeeping related to grain handling.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, state and federal safety regulations and maintain equipment.
• Provide professional customer service.
• Maintain company equipment and adhere to the Uniform Policy.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
