Job summary

FS GRAIN, a northern Illinois grain company, is seeking an elevator operator to manage grain handling, safety, and the grain drying system under the direction of the location manager.

Responsibilities include handling incoming, stored, and outgoing grain, maintaining grain quality, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations while delivering professional customer service. A high school diploma and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or related agricultural experience.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Willingness to learn grain handling.
• Experience with mechanical diagnosis and maintenance.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Valid driver's license with ability to travel overnight.
• Able to work extended hours and on-call.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming, stored, and outgoing grain while maintaining quality.
• Operate grain drying system and ensure safety.
• Maintain housekeeping of grain handling areas.
• Provide professional customer service to customers.
